Why The TravelPro Maxlite 4 Is Elaine’s Suitcase Choice
The TravelPro Maxlite 4 22″ Expandable Rollaboard Is My Suitcase Sidekick
I don’t usually rave about products, but my TravelPro Maxlite 4 has earned it. When you travel as often as Derek and me, there’s one thing you need in a suitcase. TRUST. You need to trust those zippers are going to hold, no matter how much you squeeze in. You want a secure feeling the fabric covering the case is not going to come apart, nor the frame collapse. You want a suitcase that’s designed with compartments that make sense: a roomy interior, a special place for undies and socks, a pocket for dirty laundry; a slot for the book you’ll read on the plane, etc. My 22” Travel Pro is all these things and more.
What Is It About TravelPro?
We have no relationship with TravelPro, but I have to say I like them for the simple reason that they focus on one thing: providing luggage to professionals in the travel business, namely pilots and flight attendants. I figure those folks must go through baggage like crazy, and if you check out what they all use, there’s the name: TravelPro. I also like that my bag fits into the overhead compartment or it can stand up to the misery thrust upon it by careless baggage handlers, even though empty it weighs less than 6 lbs. So far, after three years, it’s stood up to all the punishment I’ve thrown at it. The wheels are good enough, not fabulous. It’s a four wheeler so sometimes I have to figure out how to make it go the same way as me, but I think that’s driver error.
Derek may have his signature Tilley hat, but my 22” Purple Travel Pro is my signature look when I take to the road. Travel on, sweet suitcase of mine…..travel on. (By the way, you can order it by clicking on the image or here).

Where are we going next? I don’t know.
But I know you’ll get me there…
Stuffed to the max…but I don’t care.
Your zippers keep it all together;
Your sturdy exterior stands up to weather.
I love and trust you….over a hundred thousand miles.
My 22” purple sweetheart… when I see you, there’s always smiles.
Okay, I’m a terrible poet. But the feelings are genuine. You can also see me put this baby through its paces in my One Month/One Suitcase video .
